Per Diem started service in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area on June 17, 1996, serving Northern California Respiratory Therapy Departments. Per Diem is the result of a merger between Pulmonary Technicians Services (PTS) which had been in business since the early 1970s and Cardio Pulmonary Registry which was founded in the 1980s. The new entity, named Per Diem Staffing Systems, Inc., benefited from a legacy of decades of successful medical staffing experience. We have grown to become one of the leading providers of medical personnel to 100’s of hospitals and the leading Respiratory Therapy staffing company in Northern California. Per Diem was the first California based staffing company to become Joint Commission Certified, achieving that special status in 2005.
